ANNOUNCEMENT
The final exam is scheduled to be on July 30th, THURSDAY. Note that this is different from what was originally announced on the syllabus. There will be a make-up final on Friday, July 31st, for anyone who misses the Thursday exam. Please let me know in advance if you do so.
Lecture Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:00am to 11:30am. (June 29 - July 30)
The lectures will be given in Krieger 308
Textbook: J. Stewart Single Variable Essential Calculus
Office Hours: Monday through Thursday, 2-3pm, Krieger 201
HOMEWORK: There will be recommended homework problems to be completed every night but they will not be graded. As part of each day's homework, students will also be expected to read the appropriate sections in the textbook
QUIZ: Each day, a 10-minute quiz will be given based on the prior day's recommended homework assignment. The quizzes will be given mid-way through the class, with a 5-10 minute break following it. The lowest 2 quiz grades will be dropped.
EXAMS: There will be two in-class exams- a midterm and a final. The midterm is scheduled for July 16th. The final is scheduled for July 30th.
PRACTICE PROBLEMS for midterm exam. This exam will cover chapters 4,6.1-6.3,7.1-7.4,9.1-9.2.

MIDTERM SOLUTIONS
PRACTICE PROBLEMS for the final exam. This exam will cover chapters 9.3,9.4,8.1-8.7 in addition to chapters covered in the midterm. The duration of the final exam will be 3hrs (9am to 12pm).

The final exams have been graded. The final grades should be accessible to you via ISIS. If you want to see your final exam, you can stop by during my office hours.
Grading: The final grade breakdown is as follows:
Quizzes - 30% (The lowest 2 quiz grades will be dropped)
Midterm - 30%
Final - 40%
Policies:
1. All quizzes and exams will be closed book, and no calculators will be permitted. Cheating will be prosecuted to the fullest extent in accord with university policy.
2. Makeup exams will only be given when appropriate documentation is provided (e.g. a doctor's note). Documentation must be provided prior to the scheduled exam date (except for exceptional cases involving emergencies).
3. Concerns: I will gladly re-grade any problem. Please bring such concerns to my attention within 1 day of the quiz's return.
