To answer one of the questions raised in class today.
Note that a dynamical system x(t+1) = A x(t) has a equilibrium state at the zero vector, because if we apply A to the zero vector we get zero vector back. Therefore, for the intial vector x(0) = zero vector, we have x(t) = zero vector for all t=0,1,...
No matter what initial vector we start with if our sytem converges to the zero vector, we say that our dynamical system has a stable equilibrium.
