Our Apartment in Baltimore

This is out of date!!!!! The apartment has been rented.

Hi, I'm an Assistant Professor in the Math Department at Johns Hopkins and I just
got a tenure track job in my hometown, New York City, starting in January 2000.
My husband, little girl and I are moving out by December 1.
We would like to sublet our apartment for December 1- July 15 at $599 per month + utilities.
Our great landlords live right in the building with us and they would most likely be happy to let you rent the apartment with your own lease in July.

The apartment has two bedrooms, a livingroom, a bathroom, and an eat-in
kitchen with 5 large closets.
It is an ideal apartment for a visiting professor with a small family like ours
or for two friends who are students or postdocs. at either campus.
Hopkins affiliation is not required as it is a private building.

This is our block

viewed from our

7th floor apartment.

It is located in

historic Mount Vernon,

3 blocks from the

free Hopkins Shuttle to the

Medical and Homewood Campuses,

4 blocks from Peabody,

and about 15 blocks

from the Inner Harbor.

This is the living room.

It has a view of the

Washington Monument

and a high ceiling.

.

The thermostat is located here.

There is central air and

windows on three sides of the building.

.

This is the master bedroom,

which we use as a study

and a bedroom for our daughter.

.

The apartment is

wired for ADSL

with Bell Atlantic

for high speed internet.

(Infospeed DSF)

.

It is also cable ready.

.

.

The kitchen is small

with a gas stove, a fridge,

a sink and a counter.

On the other side of the counter,

near the hall,

is the eat-in area.

.

There is a supermarket

4 blocks away

so you don't need a car.

.

This is the church across the street.

.

It has a very nice

elementary school

and preschool.

.

Even though our daughter

was too young to attend,

the view from our apartment is nice.

This is a sketch of the apartment.

The front door is at the top

near the kitchen.

I've drawn a table where we eat.

.

You can see that it is an

ideal apartment

for two roommates

or for a family.
