Homework Problems
Course Description:
Basic techniques of calculus: analytic geometry, functions, limits,
derivatives, integrals, with many examples and applications.
Textbook: Single Variable Essential Calculus by James Stewart (ISBN:
0-495-10955-X)
Homework: Homework will be assigned daily. It will not be graded, but
problems from the previous night's homework will appear on the next
day's quiz.
Quizzes: Each day, a 10-15 minute quiz will be given based on the prior
evening's homework assignment. The lowest 3 quiz grades will be
dropped.
Exams: There will be 1 midterm exam. Additionally, there will be a
comprehensive final exam scheduled for the last day of class.
Grading: The final grade breakdown is as follows:
. Daily Quizzes - 30%
. Midterm Exam - 30%
. Final Exam - 40%
Academic Dishonesty: I have zero tolerance for academic
dishonesty. Cheating of any kind will be prosecuted to the fullest
extent in accordance with university policy.
